The family bought the house and during the renovation found a room that hadn’t been entered by anyone for 102 years

A French family decided to settle in an old village in the south of the country. She bought a house that had been without an owner for several decades.

The building itself was even older, according to records it was almost 200 years old . After the house was bought, people started preparing the construction for renovation and found that there were voids behind the wall under the wallpaper. As a result, a door was found under the wallpaper, and behind it was a room that had not been entered in over 100 years .

The family immediately fell in love with the old house from the mid 19th century . Of course, it needed repairs and people decided to gradually restore the old building.

There was still old wallpaper on the walls, which they wanted to remove to check the integrity of the walls behind.

One of the walls looked strange, and the knock revealed that there was a cavity inside. Behind the outer wall was a door that led into a room. As people stepped out the door, they were surprised to find that all the decorations here have been intact for more than 100 years . It seemed like previous owners just walked away leaving all things behind.

The new owners of the house decided to find out who owned the strange room. After a long search in the city archives, they discovered that the owners had a son, that the owners had a son who never returned there from the First World War.

The family learned the history of the house. The previous owners decided to leave the room to commemorate their son who left for the First World War. He didn’t return and the room became a time capsule.
