During her audition for “The Voice,” 11-year-old Georgia Blake sang “House of the Rising Sun” flawlessly

Georgia Blake, an eleven-year-old German girl, recently participated in the blind auditions for the program that are now taking place on the German version of the show. Georgia sings the song “There Is a Mansion in New Orleans…” in an a cappella manner. When she begins her performance with a bluesy growl and the first lyric, the judges turn in their seats twice.

While Georgia continues to sing “House of the Rising Sun,” the other two judges had already turned around in their seats. Despite this, Georgia’s lips curl into a half-smile as she performs.

This song, although having content that is more appropriate for an adult audience, appears to match Georgia’s voice since it exudes the spirit of someone who is a great deal older than she is. The audience first reacts as if they are astonished by her voice, but after she is through, they erupt into applause.

As Georgia’s loved ones celebrate and scream with pleasure, we see the judges salivating over her as if she were a prize. In the full version of the audition, one of the judges even joins her on stage to play the piano and perform “Georgia on My Mind.”

Another judge sings, “I’m just dialing to say I want you,” and the audience cheers. Sweet Georgia is hesitant and frightened, but she ultimately makes a choice, and as she departs the stage to join her loved ones, her team mates shower her with gifts.
