At an altitude of 50 kilometers, scientists recorded a repeating sound. Sounds 3 times an hour and does not correlate with known technology

Researchers have registered a strange noise in the stratosphere. It manifests itself at an altitude of about 50 kilometers and repeats exactly 3 times per hour. The sound does not correspond to any kind of technology known to us. Its source is unclear, the sounds come at such a low frequency that a person simply cannot hear them.

These sounds were discovered by accident. A group of researchers sent a solar-powered balloon into the stratosphere, it was equipped with a microphone. The stratosphere is relatively quiet, with little turbulence. Therefore, from this point it was planned to remove the so-called acoustic map of the planet – scientists really managed to record the sounds of the collision of waves, the operation of wind turbines, and the like.

Some of the balloons were equipped with microbarometers. This technique is usually used to observe volcanoes, it is able to record low-frequency sounds. One of the balloons recorded strange acoustic vibrations in the infrasonic range, at frequencies below 20 Hz.

Judging by the dynamics, I would suggest a car. The sound comes exactly 3 times per hour, in a certain place and around the clock. No, we cannot yet name the reasons for this acoustic anomaly, ”said one of the Sandia National Laboratories team members.

The sound was raised a few tones higher, now you can at least hear it without instruments:

Strange noises will now try to analyze in the laboratory. Scientists want to understand what they are facing.
