The bag behind the locker lay for 60 years. The guard saw her by chance and took a photo of things forgotten in the last century

One of the students hid the bag in the gap between the locker and the wall, where it lay for more than 60 years. The guard accidentally discovered this time capsule, opened it and took a picture of the forgotten things.

The schoolgirl chose a good place for her hiding place. The gap between the closet and the wall turned out to be an ideal place for hidden storage, as it was closed with an iron plug. This plug may have served to hide the wires, or was simply used to mask an unpleasant looking gap. Thanks to this stub, none of the school staff paid attention to the fact that something interesting or valuable might be in this space.

One day, while walking around the premises, the guard accidentally stumbled upon this gap, touched the edge of the plug, and it moved aside. Unaware of what was behind it, the guard decided to check what was really hiding in this corner.

The principal of the school was able to find out who owned this find through the archives – the student was Patty Rumfola, who studied here 62 years ago.

The guard was given permission to open the bag and take pictures of the forgotten items. A set of items is interesting if only because of its age – school supplies.

A small, faded leather purse.

Tube of lipstick.

A selection of photos of schoolgirl friends.

Several coins of that time.

Of course, it cannot be said that the found things are a real treasure. However, it is still interesting to consider such objects – as if you are immersed in a time machine that can transfer your imagination 60 years ago.
