According to popular belief, nice deeds are often performed while no one is watching. Those who wish to serve others for the sake of helping do not need cameras or social media to broadcast their acts of kindness. They do it automatically, without any ceremony.

Unfortunately, not everyone in Albuquerque can pull off what this teenager did when he discovered a bag of cash beside a Wells Fargo ATM.

Despite the fact that it occurred in May of 2020, it is still an amazing and motivational tale that deserves to be recounted and shared again. Simply said, this is a teaching opportunity for people everywhere.

He went to the ATM first since he simply needed money to purchase his grandfather a pair of socks. Then he saw a transparent bag containing cash next to the Wells Fargo ATM.

They might also go away unscathed since nobody was present to see it.

Instead of leaving the ATM as is, Jose called the number listed on it to report his discovery. He then decided to contact the authorities.

Jose claims he was preoccupied with thoughts of his parents at the time, particularly his mother, and what she may do if she saw him with so much money. If Jose’s mom decided to strike him, she may use her chancla or flip-flops.

To Jose’s surprise, he found out that the bag had around $135,000. The cash in the bag was left behind by the subcontractor who was supposed to refill the ATM.

The city fathers took notice of the young guy because of his forthrightness. The power provider PNM presented him with a $500 scholarship payment.

In addition to the season tickets to a Lobo football game and the football autographed by Brian Urlacher that were provided by ESPN Radio, El Patron awarded Jose with $500 and a gift card.

It was a source of great pride for not just Jose but for his whole family. All the benefits were a pleasant surprise. The ultimate reward was his family’s approval and praise for his moral behavior.
